Whether you're a lifelong reader or just beginning your journey, if you're here to reflect, grow, and build community, you're welcome.

How often do we meet?

We meet once a month for a guided reading circle and group reflection. We will engage one book for a full season. Dates and times are shared in advance each month.

What do we read?

We read books, essays, poetry, and other texts by Black women across time, place, and genre — from classics to contemporary voices.
Each selection invites us to think critically, feel deeply, and connect personally.

Do I have to finish the reading to attend?

Not at all. We understand life happens — come as you are. Whether you’ve read the whole text or just a page, your presence matters.

We approach reading not just for analysis, but for embodiment, transformation, and collective care.

It honors the uncontainable power of Black women’s words and the boundless possibilities that emerge when we gather to witness, remember, and reimagine together.

Yes. We welcome your voice, leadership, and ideas. Reach out if there’s a text that’s moved you or a conversation you want to co-create.

Is there parking available?

Yes. Free on-site parking is available.

Can I bring food or drinks?

We ask that you support the café by purchasing on-site if possible. Outside drinks or snacks may be discouraged unless previously arranged.

Yes, there’s seating available, but space is limited and cozy. Feel free to bring a cushion to get comfortable.
