🟠 Day 1: Color of Pride – The History of Black Queer Culture
🌈 From the ballroom scene to political activism, Black Queer communities have shaped American history in ways often overlooked. Let’s reclaim and celebrate our influence in politics, movements, and pop culture while honoring the trailblazers who paved the way.
🔴 Day 2: Stigma & Stones : Addressing LGBTQ+ Stigma in the Black Community
💭 How has stigma shaped our experiences? This session will explore the deep-seated roots of LGBTQ+ stigma in Black communities, its ties to faith, family, and history, and how we can work toward healing, acceptance, and empowerment.
🟡 Day 3: “Heavy is The Head” – Mental Health and Wellness in Black LGBTQ+ Communities
💖 Navigating mental health as a Black Queer person is a revolutionary act. This session will explore culturally competent healing, self-care strategies, and the power of community support in combating trauma and fostering resilience.
