Training Overview
This Level I course certifies students to significantly improve the maintenance program at their facilities, taking it to a world-class level. This course contains 32 hours of ultrasonic theory and equipment practice focusing on leak detection, electrical and mechanical inspection, steam traps and valves, bearings, lubrication, and more.

- Sound theory and ultrasonic principles
- Electrical and mechanical inspection
- Condition-based lubrication
- Bearing monitoring, trending, lubrication, and analysis
- Reporting
- Leak detection
- Steam traps and valves inspection
- Compressed air leak surveys
Speaker:
Elmer (EJ) Estates works for UE Systems as a training specialist teaching implementation courses, technical training, and software integration and support. He is certified in Level I and Level II Ultrasound, Vibration, Basic Corrosion, Fall Protection, and Safety. Previously, he worked for BAE Systems as the lead for Ultrasound in the predictive maintenance department.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Day 1: Introduction and Basic Theories
- Day 2: Leak Detection & Reporting
- Day 3: Electrical Inspection & Valve Inspection
- Day 4: Steam Trap Inspection & Mechanical Inspection & Software
- Day 5: Review of Airborne Ultrasound Technology & Final Examination (2 hrs.100 Questions)
