The UIC School of Design invites you to join us in celebrating Professor Stephen Melamed and our alumni Nicholas Savidge, Rotimi Solola, and Jillian Tackaberry, for their exceptional talent and recognition from the Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA).

Clinical Professor and Chair of the Industrial Design Department, a UIC alumnus, was recently named a Fellow of the Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA). The IDSA Academy of Fellows recognizes members of the Industrial Design community who have gained special respect and affection through distinguished service to the society and to the profession as a whole.

The IDSA Student Merit Award Program recognizes exceptional talent emerging from colleges and universities with Industrial Design programs. A UIC Design student has been selected for this prestigious award for the past three consecutive years—evidence that our status as a School of Design, and the related curricular advancements, are making a national impact on industrial design education.
