About the Play

Jerahmeel has been caring for her aging father longer than you can imagine. About 5,000 years actually, and every day of that she’s had to listen to him complain about her mother who abandoned them. That said, he never would have become God Almighty if it weren’t for the Mother of All Creation. She made the world that made him.

Now her father, the literal God Almighty, has decided he's had enough of humanity's turn away from traditional values. He demands an apocalypse to cleanse the world and restore his authority—and he wants Jerahmeel's scheming brother Lucifer to orchestrate it. Yes, Lucifer, the actual Devil, whom God inexplicably trusts more than his loyal daughter.

And what is Lucifer's vision for the apocalypse? A star-studded, multimedia variety show, broadcast live from Wembley Stadium to grab the attention of every human on Earth —capturing their eyeballs and souls all at once. It's so absurd it might work. If Jerahmeel can't prevent this divine family drama from playing out, all of humanity will pay the ultimate price.

Apocollapse! is a satire – grown from Russia’s war on Ukraine – that skewers paternalism, disinformation, and the weaponizing of traditional values as an excuse to take whatever you want.

Event takes place at Teatro LATEA, which is located inside the Clemente building on 107 Suffolk Street. There is a large archway entrance, double doors, and a front desk when you walk inside. Then you head up to LATEA on the 2nd floor.
