Twinning: How to Have Fun Writing Serious Stuff with Mamie Morgan

Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 16, 2025 • 6-8 PM at the Hub City Press Office (153 N. Spring Street). Mamie Morgan leads a lively two-hour workshop showing how to bring joy into writing tough, meaningful topics.

"In researching the etymology for fun, definitions I unearthed all included the word fool, which is strange, considering the fact that joy is a key implement in writing the worlds we know, and the worlds we desire to make. So, let's discuss that, and spend an evening employing the petrol of fun as we traverse the serious projects and stories we wish to bring into fruition.

"This is a class for everyone, all genres, those new to writing and those stuck within the confines of writing. Let's break open a path wherein making brings you joy and electricity and, ultimately, new pages."
