Join Susanna Phillips and Matthew McDonald at the Von Braun Center as we kickoff Twickenham Fest's return to live performances!

For patrons who select to attend the Spring Soirée on April 8, we will begin festivities on the rooftop of Rhythm on Monroe. That evening at 7 p.m. we will present Messaien’s 'Quartet for the End of Time' downstairs at the VBC Playhouse. Bach by Candlelight will also be held in the VBC Playhouse that evening with pianist Roman Robinovich performing the Goldberg Variations at 9:30 p.m.

Then on Saturday April 9 from noon to 2 p.m. we will present a matinée of awe-inspiring chamber music featuring Schoenberg’s unconventional String Quartet No. 2, preceded by works from Respighi and Zemlinsky.

$150 Spring Soiree at Rhythm on Monroe includes open bar and hors d'oeuvres from 5:45 - 6:45 p.m. Both concerts the evening of April 8 are included and will be held in the VBC Playhouse.

$100 Spring Concerts includes Bach by Candlelight on April 8 at 9:30 p.m., and the matinee concert on April 9. Both will be held at the VBC Playhouse.

OTHER PACKAGE OPTIONS

August 19 & 20, 2022

For our summer concerts in August, we present several brilliant compositions at Cooper House featuring ensembles of unusual instrumentation, such as Ton ter Doest’s Circusmuziek and Villa-Lobos’ Quinteto (em forma de Choros). Our audiences should also expect to hear Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, Purcell’s Chacony in G, and Britten’s String Quartet No. 2. We are also incredibly excited to present a completely new program called the Composer Concert, which will feature new and returning Twickenham Fest guest artists as they perform their own chamber music compositions.

December 1 & 2, 2022

Finally, on December 1, we will host a holiday concert. Planned for the evening are curated movements from Bach’s Brandenburg concerti interspersed with soprano Susanna Phillips and friends performing more traditional holiday carols like the Cantique de Noël ‘Minuit Chrétien’.

For Spring Concerts please plan to return your donation by March 15, 2022.

Donations for other events are accepted now, and on a rolling basis.
