[TWB Collaboration] Care Practices

By The White Book SG

Overview

A care lab to find and choreograph your own care practices in the everyday.

How do we give and receive care? How might our bodies reframe the ways we understand care?

In this evening session, you will shape your own practice of care through creative exploration. Through a combination of artistic sharing, somatic movement and guided reflection, you are invited to tune into your body’s natural rhythms, explore mindful presence, and experience how care can be a powerful way to connect to yourself and others.

Everyone is welcome regardless of background or experience. Come connect, move, reflect, and contribute to a community exploring care in creative and inclusive ways.

Facilitators:

  • Alecia Neo: Known for her participatory artworks in photography, video, and care-based projects, Alecia’s collaborative practice fosters radical hospitality and social engagement. She co-founded Brack and Ubah Rumah Residency, and currently leads the Care Index, a platform for incubating and sharing care gestures and practices with the public, and Unseen Art Initiatives, an art platform for professional and emerging disabled artists.
  • Claudine Liang: A performer-choreographer and somatic facilitator, Claudine blends psychology, movement, and reflective arts to nurture spaces for dialogue and embodied inquiry. Her practice centers on voice, memory, and social transformation through creative participation.

White is a series focused on advancing conversations around mental health and inclusion. The first volume, White: Behind Mental Health Stigma, features fifty diverse perspectives, including voices from organisations, professionals, and marginalised communities, spotlighting both personal and civic challenges. The sequel, White: Around the Table (2026), will explore food’s role in nurturing connection and open dialogue.
