Turn Kitchen Scraps Into New Produce
By Hunters Point Parks Conservancy
Overview
Come and learn how to turn your kitchen scraps into new produce! We will be leading a demonstration with some materials to use.
Come learn to grow produce from your kitchen scraps! We will be leading a short demonstration on how to use vegetable ends to regrow their roots and sprout new edible leaves! This can be done with carrots, beets, scallions, fennell, basil, and more. We will be providing some materials, but if you have, please bring vegetable ends and milk cartons, yogurt containers, or any small, waterproof container. Here is a link with more information about which vegetables work best.
We will meet at the Queens Landing Boathouse and Environmental Center at 11AM on Saturday, November 8th.
We hope to see you there!
