About this event

Government • International Affairs

Türkiye’s geostrategic location alongside its historical and cultural ties with both Europe and the Middle East leads the country to serve as a conduit between the East and the West. Türkiye is situated in both the Middle East and Europe, affecting and being affected by the developments taking place in both regions. Türkiye’s longstanding foreign policy encompasses two significant dimensions: Establishing strong ties with Europe and having peaceful relations with the Middle Eastern nations. Although Türkiye is not an EU member, EU remains Türkiye’s primary trading partner. The unstable conditions in the Middle East has prompted the EU to collaborate with Türkiye closely in the recent years. This presentation aims at analyzing Türkiye’s role as a bridge between Europe and the Middle East.
