About this event

Join us at LMN Wedge Studio & Gallery for an evening of drawing with a live figure model. Our models may be clothed or nude, or anywhere in between. The session is uninstructed, but led by a monitor (and usually our studio owner, who teaches most of the classes). All levels of artistic skill are welcome.

We have seating, including regular dining chairs, high-boys, stools, and floor cushions on the floor level, as well as on a riser. Our model is on a stage with directional lighting.

Bring your own drawing supplies, BYOB, and prepare to have a relaxed yet focused session of drawing shorter to longer poses with a group of fellow artistic explorers. This is not a "class", but more of an immersive opportunity to practice whatever observational drawing skills you may have, and develop them further in a support group setting.

We also offer multi-week drawing courses, which this session compliments well. Feel free to ask us about those when you come by for our evening drawing session!

Frequently asked questions

how do i get into the building?

use the door code you'll see written in chalk near on the sandwich board by the front door. OR please use the call box to call Studio LMN and we will buzz you in. If you still have issues, TEXT 773.558.2047. Come up to the second floor to suite 206.

What mediums are allowed?

All drawing and sketching mediums, as well as water-based paint. Please be careful if using paint, charcoal or chalk pastels- it's pretty messy. Good studio hygiene is encuraged. No solvents, please.

What if I do not have my own art supplies?

We now have basic drawing supplies on offer for purchase on-site. A basic kit that includes a medium-sized sketchbook, two good pencils, and one eraser, can be purchased on-site for +/- $30. You can also purchase from this list of basic drawing supplies I have created at Blick (see below)

If I wanted to purchase supplies in advance, what do you recommend?
