Tavern Tales SD: Find Your Party - Tuesday, July 22, 2025
July will be our first back-to-back programming nights. This Find Your Party event follows our first ever Create Your Character night where, if you attend that event on Monday, you can then bring your very own customized and approved level 2 character to play and participate in the newest set of Find Your Party encounters on Tuesday! Find Your party is designed as a chance to try out tabletop gaming, build or expand your nerdy group of friends, and participate in rapid-fire Dungeons and Dragons encounters at Little Bird Brewing (formerly Thorn St. Brewery)! Connecting members of the Tabletop community in a fun and inclusive space, Find Your Party is meant to be a low stakes, high fun evening of dice rolling and questing antics. Whether you're a seasoned dungeon delver or have just been a little D&D curious, there's a place for everyone in our tavern. All gaming materials will be provided, so grab your ticket, bring your friends and make some positive memories and lasting friendships.
Frequently asked questions
No prior experience is necessary. All gaming materials are provided the night of the event and each participant is provided with a simplified character sheet to make sure all your choices feel impactful. Also, our DMs love questions and are there to help you along the way.
All you need to bring is your ID (this is a 21+ event with alcohol present) and your ticket or QR code for entry. Minis, character sheets, pencils, and dice will all be provided. Though, if you're like some of us, you are welcome to bring your own dice with that good energy on them.
This version of Find Your Party will be focused on the 2024 Dungeons and Dragons 5E system. However, Tavern Tales SD will be exploring other systems along the way so keep your eyes open for other events in the future.
Each encounter is designed to meet new players and introduce basic game mechanics. Three tables will be running simultaneously with different scenarios at each. At the end of a 20-30 minute window, your party will either have triumphed or fallen in a blaze of glory!
As long as you attend the Create Your Character event on Monday, July 21, you can bring that approved character sheet with you to this event on Tuesday and use your very own character in place of the premade options available. Please note - only custom characters from Monday's event will be allowed.
The NPC will be on the front patio of Littlebird and serve as a space for new/curious players to sit with a TTSD volunteer who will provide a basic rules overview and answer questions. It will also double as a quieter space for you to take a Short Rest before your next encounter.
