About this event
Large tsunamis of past decades have underscored the potential for extreme hazards impacts from these events, but also the multidisciplinary scientific challenges that face tsunami researchers and the advancement of their field. In this webinar, three experts will survey the state-of-the-art of tsunami science – a broad field that encompasses many disciplines, from advanced hydrodynamics, data science and machine learning, geophysical modeling and inversion, to geological field investigations that shed light on both past and recent events. The talks will be followed by discussions of the future of tsunami science.
