Run, walk, and make a difference! Join the Trot for Tampons 5K to support Simply the Basics and provide essential hygiene supplies.

Hosted by the Junior League of San Francisco | In partnership with Midnight Runners SF

Hit the pavement with purpose at the Trot for Tampons 5K Run/Walk! This fun, community-focused event supports Simply the Basics, a national hygiene bank dedicated to providing essential hygiene and mentrual products to individuals and nonprofits serving low-income and unhoused communities. Your participation helps ensure that basic care items are accessible to those who need them most.

Event details:

  • When: Saturday, January 10th at 10:45 AM
  • Where: Meet at Moscone Park; after-party at Wilder
  • Tickets: $30 (100% of proceeds go directly to Simply the Basics; plus 10% of after-party proceeds at Wilder will also be donated)

Lace up, show up, and enjoy a morning that's active, meaningful, and full of community spirit. Walk, run, or jog - every step makes a difference!

About The Junior League of San Francisco

The Junior League of San Francisco is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Since 2023, the JLSF has focused on bridging the gap of Essential Needs in the San Francisco community. Essential Needs encompasses a number of issues, but we target our work within three pillars: Housing, Food, and Basic Personal Necessities.

About Simply the Basics

The Mission of Simply the Basics is to provide for people, communities, and nonprofit organizations their most basic hygiene needs with Dignity so that they can focus on greater goals. We are making hygiene more Equitable and Accessible as the first National Hygiene Bank.

About Midnight Runners

Our volunteer based community creates accessible , social workouts in urban centres around the world. We aim to bridge the gap between enjoying your workout and hanging out with your friends. Seasoned runner or just starting out? It doesn't matter to us. We run with speakers and create a party that moves through the streets every week and everyone is invited.
