About this event

We are bringing together over 100 LGBTQ+ people at Troon Concert Hall with their friends and families to have a dance, meet friends old and new, and to raise some money for our local community. Join us to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community in Ayrshire, whether you live near or far.

Doors (and the bar) will open at 7pm. The live ceilidh band will start around 7.30pm with a caller to help us all keep up. In the band's interval there will be a raffle and the toss the coin game (kindly sponsored by Graham Irving-Cole) to raise some funds for our local community group.

The event ends at 11.30pm (when we might all go to the pub to carry on together!).

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to be LGBTQ+ to go?

This is an event aimed at people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community but if you are questioning whether you might be or are a friend or family of someone who is lgbtq+, you are more than welcome. We are inviting our friends and families to join us regardless of their identity.

Do I have to be from or from near Troon to go?

No! We are welcoming everyone to Troon to celebrate with our community here. You do not have to live here or have links to here in order to attend. Come visit us and have some fun!

I don't know anyone else going. Can I still come on my own?

Yes! People on their own are very welcome. We are a welcoming bunch! We will set up a point for people to meet each other who have come on their own. We can also have a chat with you beforehand if you want to meet someone before the event. Email us at troonlgbtq@gmail.com and we can arrange this.
