November is Native American Heritage Month. Our concert is in celebration of Native American JAZZ Artist Jim Pepper (Muscogee Creek and Kaw Nation’s). Noted by critics for his ‘Post Coltrane’ tone, he was inspired by notable Jazz Artist Don Cherry and Ornette Coleman to express his Native American Culture through the sounds of JAZZ.
