Tree Tapping & Foraged Tea!

By The New Weis Center

Overview

Help us tap our trees for maple sugaring season, and make some foraged winter tea.

Let’s kick off Maple Sugaring season with this fun behind the scenes program! Come help our senior educators ID the perfect trees, drill the holes, set the spiles, and hang the buckets to prepare for this annual winter tradition.

Afterwards we will forage for ingredients and make tea, and talk about the power and benefits of our local evergreens.

  • Ages 5 to adult
  • Dress appropriately as the program will be held outdoors
