Tree of Life and Tree of Knowledge: A talk on unity and will

The tree of life and the tree of knowledge from the book of Genesis are deeply symbolic teachings that are relevant today more than ever.

The tree of life is a universal image of the bridge between our earthly selves and the divine.
The tree of knowledge teaches us about the power of free will and how to use it wisely.

The tree as a symbol contains the mystery of unity and multiplicity. Diversity and multiplicity are the reflection of divinity in creation, and yet we are all unified in the same divine origin.
In this world we find the extremes of too much unity as uniformity, conformity, and too much multiplicity as disintegration. We need integration.

The event takes place at the Scarborough Public Library in the meeting room and the talk will begin promptly at 5:30pm. There will be time for Q & A following the talk
