Travels With George: A Journey Through Depression, Connection & Friendship

Join us for the world premiere of "Travels With George," a powerful and moving documentary that explores the transformative power of human connection. We are honored to host this special event at the UB Center for the Arts, celebrating a story born and rooted right here in Buffalo. Travels With George is a testament to the unexpected places where profound bonds can form. The film chronicles the extraordinary decade-long friendship between Dan, a lawyer battling depression, and George, a young man navigating a challenging childhood on the East Side of Buffalo. Their journey—which began with a desk-flipping first encounter and evolved into a relationship built on candid car rides, shared laughter, and unwavering support—beautifully illustrates how love, mentorship, and peer connection can be a two-way street of healing and growth.

This premiere is more than just a film screening; it's a community celebration of the film's message. The evening will begin with a welcome portion where you can connect with local organizations dedicated to mental wellness and community support. Following the screening of "Travels With George," a panel discussion will take place.

This is an opportunity to not only witness an inspiring story but to engage in a meaningful conversation about the power of friendship and resilience in our own lives and community.

We invite you to be a part of this special evening. Secure your tickets now and join us in celebrating the bonds that make us stronger.
