Trauma Informed Training
Overview
Clinical trauma education for practitioners of mental health and those using sound, movement, and other holistic modalities.
Trauma Education:
- Understanding the neuroscience of trauma, the nervous system, the polyvagal system and anterior cingulate of the cortex.
- Exploring trauma-genesis, and how trauma manifests in the body and energy field.
- Examining common misconceptions about trauma.
- Discovering adaptations and mitigations and psychological criterion.
- Learning the ACE study and how these adaptations and mitigations manifest into human health issues.
Trauma Processing:
- Learning therapeutic approaches to help a client move through traumatic memories, responses, and releases.
- Discussing self-regulation and psycho-education.
Trauma-Informed and Healing Centered Engagement Facilitation:
- Techniques to create a safe, grounded, and supportive healing space for clients.
- Consent-based facilitation & the power of gentle invitation
- The power of presence
- Empathetic listening
- Communication skills
