St Martin-in-the-Fields are acutely aware of the impact death in service has on frontline workers and are funding local in person events through their Frontline Network to coincide with the annual remembrance service at St-Martin-in-the-Fields in London.

Bereavement in services affects both clients and staff, often bringing up complex feelings, memories, and challenges. For some teams, loss may be a frequent reality, while for others it can feel sudden and destabilising.

Delivered by trauma informed trainer David Gill from Risk & Resilience this workshop provides a compassionate, trauma-informed space to explore individual and organisational responses to bereavement, while equipping staff with practical tools and supportive strategies. The approach centres on safety, empathy, and reflection, ensuring participants feel supported as they learn.

Subjects covered include;

  • Understanding Grief and Bereavement
  • Organisational & Personal Responses
  • Supporting Others Through Loss
  • Collective Processing & Reflection
  • Resources & Self Care

Breakfast pastries & refreshments will be available from 9am, ready for a 9.30am start. ..

This event is available to frontline workers in Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde, to find out more about our local network see Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Frontline Network | St Martin in the Field
