About this event

Arts • Painting

Join us for a unique intuitive painting workshop at Hunglish Vegan Cafe & Store to explore the connection between sound and visual art through the lens of Synesthesia!

Led by a practicing artist; Zoe Aczel, who harnesses Synesthesia in her creative process.

This session invites participants to explore how music can evoke colour, movement, and shape.

Over the course of 1.5 hours, participants will be gently guided through a series of

creative exercises designed to tune into their emotional and sensory responses to

sound.

Using music as inspiration, they will experiment with ink and watercolour techniques to express what they hear, translating rhythm into intuitive marks, colours, and

abstract patterns on paper.

This immersive experience is open to all levels and encourages freedom, self-

expression as well as a deeper appreciation for intuitive art making through music.

Participants will leave the session with expressive watercolour pieces to take home

of their sound-visualisation.

The artist will share insights into her lived experience of Synesthesia and how it

informs her practice, offering a window into the creative possibilities of sensing the

world differently. The workshop is suitable for all levels—no prior art experience is

needed.

All painting materials are provided and a drink of choice is included!
