RVA Rapid Transit invites you to our fall Next Transit Talk: 2025 State of Transit – Next Generation on Thursday, October 30th from 12–1 PM (online via Zoom). This special session will focus on the next generation of riders and the changes our transit system must embrace to keep pace with the needs of our communities and our climate.

We will explore how transit can better serve youth access, ensuring young people have the mobility they need for school, work, and opportunity. The conversation will also highlight how bus stop design must evolve to meet the challenges of climate change, including heat, flooding, and extreme weather, so riders can wait for the bus with dignity and safety. Finally, we’ll look at how microtransit is already supporting the network and how it could expand to fill service gaps, offering more flexible connections to frequent transit.

This is your opportunity to learn, ask questions, and help envision the future of public transit that is accessible, resilient, and responsive to the next generation’s needs.
