Who is Safe Conversations for?

Safe Conversations workshops are for anyone who can talk who is over 13 years. The skills and understandings are absolutely useful to parents of children even younger, but for kids under 13, learning in a private setting with me is best. Young kids might get restless in a workshop setting.

Will I learn  Safe Conversations in one Workshop?

Accepted Answer

You'll learn the foundations of Safe Conversations in one workshop and are sure to come away with at least one major "aha" moment.  There are paradigm shifts in the system - new ways of doing things that like any new skill, take practice to fully incorporate.

Question 3

Is there support for further learning after the Workshop?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I host Safe Conversation Hour once per week which is a support forum for practice and questions. Details are provided to Workshop participants. You can also find other resources at SafeConversations.com.

Why do you teach Safe Conversations?

Accepted Answer

After a lifetime of relational struggle and searching, Safe Conversations and the work of Drs. Harville and Helen Hendrix has provided the toolbox I need - everyone needs - to consciously craft healthy relationships. I've got to share this with the world!

Question 5

How do I Prepare for the  Workshop?

Accepted Answer

Make sure you have a stable internet connection, and a comfy chair. Open the materials I send a few days in advance - printing them in advance will make it much easier to practice! Log into Zoom 15 minutes before the start time to make sure everything works. And come with an open heart and mind!

Question 6

Will I be recorded?

Accepted Answer

We record the "public" parts of this workshop so we can improve it going forward, as well as for marketing purposes. However, the "private" parts of the workshop - that is, when you'll be practicing the skills in private Zoom breakout rooms, will not be recorded.

Question 7

How many breaks will there be in the 4 hour workshop?

Accepted Answer

There will be at least 3 breaks lasting 5-10 minutes each.
