Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil and March

By LGBT Network Community Centers

Overview

Commemorate the lives lost due to transphobic violence this year with us at the Astoria Q-Center.

Commemorate those we have lost over the last year to transphobic violence with our Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) Vigil. This year we will hold our vigil and walk through Astoria on Friday November 21st, the day after Transgender Day of Remembrance. After reading the names of those we lost, we will do a short march around Astoria to raise awareness in the community about transphobic violence, but also the strength in number of those still here supporting this community. We’ll gather inside the Q-Center after that for a healing space and activities. This is an all-ages event.
