Trail Academy Session 4: Glutes, Roots & Resilience by Sports Basement Berkeley Run Club
It’s not just about how far you can run—it’s about how well you move when the trail gets weird. This session takes a deeper look at how trail runners can build a resilient body that handles climbs, descents, and everything in between.
We’ll touch on the fundamentals:– balance and stability for confident movement– strength strategies to support your stride (yep, upper body too)– and dynamic exercises to prepare for what the trail throws at you
🧠 Pre-Run Activation with Liz Nguyen & Henry Goh
Join local physiotherapists Liz Nguyen (Creative Movement PT) and Henry Goh (Soccer Movement Systems PT) for a casual and interactive session on how to keep your body strong, balanced, and injury-free while trail running.
We’ll go over simple, effective exercises you can add to your week to navigate the terrain and stay durable on the trail. All levels welcome – whether you’re just getting started or training for your next ultra! Please bring a mat if you have one (we'll have a few extras on hand).
Let’s run longer, stronger – together.
