Please join us for this seminar, "Towards an 'Inclusive' Agriculture-Driven Prosperity for Africa: The Potential, Promise and Challenges in Deploying a Gender Lens". This event is in co-sponsorship with the Elliott School's Institute for African Studies (IAfS), Gender Equality Initiative in International Affairs (GEIA), International Development Studies (IDS), and the Institute for Disaster and Fragility Resilience.

Featuring guest speaker, Dr. Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg, Director of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD). In this seminar, Dr. Kamau-Rutenberg will discuss how AWARD is working towards inclusive, agriculture-driven prosperity for the African continent by strengthening the production and dissemination of agricultural research and innovation that is more gender responsive.

This event will be moderated by Apollo Nkwake, Associate Research Professor of International Affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs, GWU.
