Touch Grass Day-Tripper: Game & Chill (December 20th)

By Touch Grass CIC

Overview

Day-Tripper: end of year social

Explore, create, and connect in nature's boundless playground. Our curated day events are designed to immerse you in the beauty of nature while igniting your creative spark.

Join us for a gentle end-of-year gathering to unwind, laugh and celebrate the time we’ve spent together this year – whether you’ve been to a few of our events, or this is your very first Touch Grass hangout.

This is a low-pressure, cosy social with board games, a creative corner, snacks and winter treats: comfy vibes and plenty of space to just be.

What to expect

🃏 Board games & gentle chaos
We’ll bring a mix of games: from easy icebreakers and party games to more strategic ones if you’re in the mood to focus. You’re welcome to jump in and out, watch, or stick to the chill corner if that feels better.

🖍 Crafty moments & quiet corner

If you need a break or a quiet moment, we'll have a creative corner with gentle journal prompts, art supplies and colouring pages.

🍪 Snacks, winter treats & hot drinks
There'll be sweet and savoury bits to nibble on and warming drinks to keep the winter chill away. You’re very welcome (but not obligated!) to bring something to share.

💬 Soft space to connect
No forced fun, no pressure to be “on”. Come as you are – tired, chatty, quiet, giggly, awkward, all of it is welcome. This is about closing the year in community and reflecting on the small wins, adventures and moments of joy we’ve shared.

About Touch Grass

Touch Grass is an outdoor community for queer women, trans and non-binary people of colour.

We are committed to fostering community growth through outdoor gatherings and wellness-focused trips that encourage us to rekindle our relationship with nature. Our immersive experiences go beyond relaxation—it's about empowerment, wellness, and forging meaningful connections.

Our vision is for queer people of colour to see the outdoors as a space where we belong. A Natural England study found that White people are 70% more likely than Black and Asian people to spend time in the countryside. We want to change this. We deserve to reap the benefits of improved emotional well-being and physical health too.

We believe creativity and nature go hand in hand, which is why most of our events encourage you to embrace nature and your inner creative spirit.
