This year, SAIL will host its annual two-person team cornhole tournament. Proceeds will go to SAIL’s One in Five campaign, which evenly funds 5 programs:
1. SPAR: a health and wellness program for people of all abilities to improve social skills, build relationships, increase independence, and have fun.
2. U.P. Vets Served: a program for veterans and military families to socialize and build connections in a supportive environment.
3. Sled Hockey U.P.: a recreational and competitive sled hockey team for individuals to learn and play the adaptive sport.
4. Assistive Technology: a program to assist individuals in acquiring low-cost devices that will help them be more independent in their daily lives.
5. Home Safety: a program to promote emergency preparedness and provide low-cost safety equipment for individuals with disabilities in their homes.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top baggers while teams square off during one of the hottest downtown events of the summer, Harborfest!
The tournament begins at 1:00 pm and will continue until the bracket has been completed! Players can enjoy the sights, sounds, and food of Harborfest while not playing and can be notified via text/call when it is their turn to play again.
"Toss for a Cause" is NOT affiliated with any local or national cornhole organizations, but friendly competition is encouraged! All participants MUST use event-provided equipment for the tournament.
