As legislative attacks on trans healthcare escalate, mental health providers must be prepared to navigate these challenges with expertise and care. This training will equip you with essential tools to support trans clients in today’s shifting landscape.
Legislative Impacts on Care – Understanding executive orders, public health data erasure, and retracted research.
Gender Care is Mental Health Care – How affirming care is integral to well-being and clinical outcomes.
Care Delivery in Times of Uncertainty – Addressing anger, fear, grief, suicidality, and safety planning.
Hope, Vision, and Collective Action – Navigating systemic barriers, fostering resilience, and building community support.
Operational & Ethical Considerations – Privacy, charting, mandatory reporting, and professional responsibility.
This third presentation also includes content about how to bring gender into the room and addresses body image distress.
The first two events had 200 total attendees, 49 of which attended at no cost, on scholarship. We were able to distribute $815 to mutual aid efforts supporting trans women of color from the last event. Would love to exceed that goal again <3
