About Tone Circle Seattle:

Tone Circle Seattle is the region's premier voice-first meditation experience where everyone is invited to explore the transformative power of their voice.

Tone Circle Seattle's group vocal toning sessions are reinventing chant and mantra for a new age of personal sovereignty, agency, and creativity.

Often referred to as "a sound bath from the inside out," in this relaxed, no-pressure space, there’s nothing to prepare, nothing to perform—just the chance to relax, slow down, and heal our relationship with our voices. The open invitation to tone starts with deep listening and an open invitation to be heard in safe, supportive, judgement-free space.

Gentle humming or toning on a vowel sound is a wonderful way for anyone of any skill level to deepen their confidence in the sound healing tool they already carry within. In a world where we need the harmony of our voices to ring out stronger than ever, it’s both an imperative and an enormous pleasure to come together for the vibrational support for our vocal journeys.

Frequently asked questions

What is a group vocal meditation?

It's a community practice of improvisational humming or vocalizing together to cultivate calm and harmony, from the inside out. We give and receive vibrational support to settle into deep relaxation and amplify intention—no singing or meditation experience needed.

What is improvised vocal toning?

It's the practice of humming or vocalizing on sustained vowel sounds that feel good to your mind and body. It calms the nervous system, quiets the mind, and helps us connect with the transformative power of our unique voice to amplify our intention. Anyone can tone—no singing experience needed!

What should I bring?

We often sit in chairs or on the floor for most of the practice, so feel free to bring your favorite cushion, zafu, or anything else that helps you sit comfortably. Chairs will be available. A water bottle is a great idea, too—your vocal cords will thank you!

Where should I park?

There is free street parking available nearby.

Why donate?

We're currently offering a pay-what-feels-right model to make Tone Circle accessible to all. Your dollars help cover space rental for these gatherings. We’ll be moving into a class pass model in August, so this is a perfect time to try it out and see how it feels for your voice body, and spirit.
