In 2009, Todd Day Wait put everything he owned on the curb and jumped into his airport shuttle bus, that ran off of vegetable oil, for a never ending tour. He headout west via New Orleans and the Rocky's and ended up on the west coast. After years on the road he finally settled in New Orleans, busking and playing the clubs. At that time, many people moved to town and started playing. Sierra Ferral, The Deslondes, Tuba Skinny and Nick Shoulders and more to name a few.
Todd moved to Nashville in 2019, spent 2020 back at the farm in Missouri and then moved back in 2021. Since then Todd has been the opening support on tour with The Deslondes, John R. Miller and Nick Shoulders. Notable acts such as Beck, Kacey Musgraves, Shaboozey, Diplo, Elle King and more will often swing by late nights to catch Todd and his band at the the late night honky tonk show here in Nashville, TN for a few years and running. Todd and his band keep the place crowded with well over 100-150 folks coming out from 11:30pm -1:30am every Tuesday night with a collection of hipsters, honky’s and weirdos. I often tell people it’s one of the last real Nashville haunts you can enjoy that oozes authenticity.
