Charity & Causes • Environment

Toast to Clean Air is GASP’s annual celebration and call to action in a time of federal budget cuts, environmental rollbacks, and rising climate threats. Join us at Birmingham’s historic Sloss Furnaces for an unforgettable evening featuring keynote remarks from Catherine Coleman Flowers and Cliff Villa. Together we’ll honor climate champions, reflect on Birmingham’s environmental past, and power the future of clean air and environmental justice in Alabama.

What GASP Does

GASP (Greater Birmingham Alliance to Stop Pollution) works to advance healthy air and environmental justice across Alabama. Through community organizing, policy advocacy, education, and scientific research, GASP helps residents in pollution-burdened neighborhoods fight for cleaner air, stronger protections, and lasting change. From monitoring toxic emissions to training local advocates, GASP builds the power and knowledge communities need to hold polluters accountable.

What to Expect

  • Inspiring keynote speakers: Catherine Coleman Flowers and Cliff Villa
  • Awards ceremony recognizing community environmental leaders
  • Dinner, drinks, and live music included
  • VIP guests enjoy a complimentary guided tour of the Sloss Furnaces

Why It Matters
