Event Details

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Tech Networks of Boston (TNB) is pleased to invite nonprofit professionals to a Roundtable session sponsored by the Data Collaborative
on how nonprofits can use a new free tool from Google called AppMaker. Our featured guest will be Eric Segal, president of the Data Collaborative.

Here is what Eric says about this session:

Google is releasing a new, free database application, and this TNB Roundtable will help you figure out if it can be useful to your organization.

  •  Do you have an Access database you need to get away from?
  •  Do you have data that is sitting on someone's computer when it really needs to be available online?
  •  Are you tired of spending a lot of money on Salesforce consultants?
  •  Do you have an unusual program, and you do you need to figure out how to store its data?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, this workshop is for you.

Here's a little more about our sponsor:

Eric Segal worked in the anti-poverty field for 12 years, including 6 years as Executive Director of ARCH. Then the nerd part of his brain took over and he founded the Data Collaborative, which has been providing data solutions to non-profits and for-profits since 2005.

The Data Collaborative is a dedicated group of technology pros who develop mission-critical software solutions to enter, store, and analyze data. They believe in providing exceptional database services that allow clients to effortlessly store, manage and report on the vital details that make their organization successful.

Please note:

1) This will be a professional development opportunity for nonprofit professionals who want to learn with and from their peers in other organizations. In keeping with the spirit of the TNB Roundtable series, this session will NOT be a sales pitch for any product or service – except insofar as we will encourage you to think about whether this free tool is a good match for your needs.

2) This session is for employees of nonprofit organizations. It is not designed to meet the needs of vendors, volunteers, students, consultants, job-seekers, and others.

3) Priority in registration will be given to those who are employed by nonprofit organizations that hold full membership in the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network.

4) Participation in this session is free of charge for nonprofit professionals. However, you must have a confirmed reservation in order to attend.

5) If this session is booked to capacity by the time you seek to register for it, please go ahead and put yourself on the waiting list. We have a good track record of finding seats for nonprofit professionals on the waiting list.

We hope that you can join us for a vigorous and informative conversation, in which you will be welcome to share your knowledge and experience with your peers!

Best regards from Deborah
