Tiny Talk: Nina Brander
Overview
Join us to kick off your week with a jolt of creativity as we hear from artists and friends during Tiny Talks, held on the second Sunday of each month.
Nina Brander, ArtYard's Development Associate, weaves together experience in international development and sustainable design to build relationships and foster collaboration. Nina is the co-founder of Brander Art Furniture (BAF), a father-daughter studio based in the Sourlands of New Jersey. The BAF studio is an evolving dialogue and hands-on exploration of how a business can advance values of circular bioeconomy and place-based sustainability, while also cultivating a distinct design language and creating heirloom-quality furniture and cabinetry.
In her Tiny Talk, Nina will invite the audience to consider an expanded idea of material ecology through the lens of craft, sustainability, and circular design. Her furniture practice is grounded in curiosity about how materials carry story, value, and connection. She will discuss how every choice, from wood and finish to form, contributes to the larger living ecological system.
Tiny Talks are 20-minute talks by artists and friends sharing their creative inspiration.
The talk is free and begins at 11 AM. Afterwards, browse our galleries to see our summer exhibitions alongside fellow art lovers.
