Timeline of an Execution: A Photo Documentary Presentation
Overview
On the day after International Human Rights Day, at the peak of an execution crisis in this country, come hear from Hudson's local photojournalist Scott Langley, who presents his multi-decade photo documentary project on the death penalty.
Since 1999, Scott has been capturing moments in and outside of prisons during executions – telling the story of what occurs when the government carries out a death sentence, and who is impacted in the process. The project is the largest photo documentary ever about the death penalty's modern era in the United States – bringing together the unique combination of photography, journalism and education into one powerful project.
The public is invited to experience Scott's presentation of photos, hear more about how the project began, learn about what is currently happening with the death penalty, and find out how you can get involved to join the movement to stop executions.
* refreshments provided *
Note: No graphic images or depictions of violence will be presented.
