About this event
Tiling is one of the most impactful and satisfying home improvement projects you can tackle yourself. In this popular, hands-on workshop, participants will learn every step of the tile installation process—from preparing the subfloor to applying the final grout. You'll gain experience with both ceramic and stone tiles, explore layout planning and pattern alignment, and learn how to cut and set tiles cleanly and securely.
Whether you're dreaming of a kitchen backsplash, a bathroom floor, or a shower surround, this class will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to take on your own tiling project.
Learning Goals:
- Select appropriate tile and prep materials for a given project
- Plan a tile layout and make accurate measurements
- Safely cut ceramic and stone tile
- Mix and apply mortar for proper adhesion
- Set and grout tiles for a durable, attractive finish
