About this event
- Event lasts 3 hours
A ceremony for Black women who refuse to make joy optional.
You’ve been carrying everything—responsibilities, expectations, the weight of always being “the strong one.” This is your space to set it down.
Tied to Joy is not another workshop where you leave with a checklist and the same old exhaustion. It’s an intimate ceremony designed for Black women ready to make a different choice: to name what no longer serves you and commit to living with your joy at the center.
Led by Jamila Weathers, Joy Specialist and Founder of Win Some W(h)ine Some, you’ll move through a guided process to:
- Name and release the narratives, roles, and relationships you’ve been holding onto out of habit or fear.
- Define what your joy looks and feels like, so you can recognize when you’re choosing it—and when you’re not.
- Set boundaries that honor your capacity, without guilt or apology.
- Be adorned and affirmed with custom Ndani waistbeads created by Sunny Majeedah, a tangible commitment to yourself you’ll wear long after you leave.
- Break bread in sisterhood, so you leave nourished in every way.
What you will leave with:
- Clarity about what has been standing between you and the joy you deserve.
- A felt sense of relief and validation from being witnessed by women who understand.
- A physical reminder of your commitment to yourself.
- A renewed standard for how you will protect your joy.
- 30 days of continued support in the Joy Sanctuary community.
This gathering is for Black women who are ready to stop tolerating depletion and start embodying what’s possible when you choose yourself without compromise.
Spots are limited.
Please note:All ticket sales are final; refunds are not available after purchase. This experience is designed as an intimate space for adult participants only. No children or additional guests will be permitted.
