About the Glass Academy

The Glass Academy is a 14,000-square-foot working studio that features a 2,000-square-foot gallery with handmade glass products on display, including beer mugs, ornaments and original designs from master artists Michelle Plucinsky, Chris Nordin, and Jake Nordin. On the weekends, the space is used for classes, private events, and tours that educate and demonstrate the glass arts. Free street parking is always available.

Where do I park?

The studio is located in a tool & die area with ample FREE street parking. Park anywhere you like in this secure neighboorhood, both sides of the street are open for parking.

Can my kids come?

This event is geared towards adults and you must be 18+ older to take try any glassblowing, so we ask that we keep your kids home for this event. Make it a date night instead!

Can I buy handmade glass here?

Absolutely! We encourage it! The studio gallery will be open with all sorts of lovely handmade glass made by our seasoned professionals. We have functional items, like drinkware, along with decorative and seasonal items like pumpkins, snowmen, glass eggs, nest bowls, and birds.

How long are the demos?

Most demos take about 20 minutes and we change them up each time. Expect to see a variety of things made depending on the audience and questions asked. We make some glassware based on specific questions we get, and you can buy the item you watch being made as well!

Do you teach classes?

YES! We create our own one time class experiences for you to TRY glass making. First timers are welcome! We provide all the tools and equipment you will need to have full success and our seasoned teachers will assist you as needed. If you want to learn this as a career, try a college!
