Indulge your adventurous side and explore your creativity by combining different media and materials into your paintings!

We will use paint, collage, stamping, and multiple drawing implements to produce richly layered works that combine structure and improvisation.

You will learn new techniques and approaches through demos, inspirational artists, and 1-on-1 guidance from the instructor. Students will develop both technical skills and personal style.

Join us as we indulge ourselves in this Sunday afternoon workshop!

This is a studio class and students will be using their supplies on the first week.

Supply List for Students to Bring on Week 1:

A variety of PAPERS! (from books, old drawings, children’s art, letters, etc.)
Acrylic paints (black, white and a variety of colors)
Matte Medium
Variety of brush sizes and a wide chip brush
Plastic scraper (or old credit cards)
2 or more cradled wood panels or masonite boards (12" x 12" or larger)
Scissors/craft knife
Permanent black marker or sharpie

Optional Supplies:

stencils
stamps
paint pens or acrylic markers
spackling compound
sandpaper, 100 / 120 grit
whatever you have that will leave marks or create texture in your art...metal tools, burlap, corrugated cardboard, foil, wood skewers, etc...bring it!
