Throwing with Kev for Kids

Poppy + Pot’s Lead Potter, Kevin Reichenberg, has created a child friendly approach to making pottery on the wheel. This is a two-part workshop! You’ll bring your child for part-one where they'll make a bowl on the wheel and then return on a later date to glaze their piece. At the end of this workshop, each student will have made their very own piece of art that makes the perfect gift!

Part one: Throwing on the Wheel

Part two: Glaze Day

Once their pottery has been fired in the kiln, parents will be notified that they are ready to be glazed. They can return any Sunday between 10-4pm, and paint their pottery using various different glazes and application methods.

Once glazed, pottery will be fired in the kiln one more time to complete the process. The second firing can take anywhere between 2-4 weeks. Parents will be notified when their pottery is finished and ready for pickup.

This is a ticketed event for children and we ask that adults stay in the shop the duration of the class. Tickets are only to be purchased for children.
