Throw Back, Roll Forward - A Baltimore Legacy Skate Party

Throw Back / Roll Forward curated by Light Within the Margins is a night of celebrating Legacy, Community, and Joy at the historic Shake and Bake Family Fun Center on Pennsylvania Avenue. We’re celebrating the impact of a space that has offered a safe space to roll, bowl and simply have a good time for 40+ years.

Partnering with local artists and organizations we are highlighting the importance of this sanctuary of communion.

This event will take place Saturday, November 8th, from 3-7PM. It will feature live performance, community resources, story-booths, and more creative activities. All in all It will be a multi-generational site of communion, commemoration, and creativity.

The story booth will be a space to share your shake and bake memories, tell stories about the Avenue and speak on skate culture in our community. This is about legacy!

Throw Back, Roll Forward is also a celebration of Light Within's 5 year anniversary of hosting events that center integenrational community, storytelling and mental health advocacy.
