Create a one-of-a-kind statement bag using fabric scraps, upcycled t-shirt cording and twisted rope hand crochet techniques. In this hands-on, two-part workshop, you’ll design and construct your own sculptural bag, layering textures, colors, and patterns to craft a truly unique piece.
Part 1: Build the foundation of your bag, learning essential hand crochet and construction techniques using rope and upcycled t-shirt cording.
Part 2: Make it your own—adorn your bag with personal accessories, deadstock embellishments and upcycled details for a signature finish.
Guided by expert designers from JÉLÉ, you’ll explore fabric manipulation and creative composition—all while embracing slow fashion and sustainable craftsmanship.
Perfect for both beginners and seasoned creators—walk away with a bold, wearable work of art that’s entirely your own.
Makers are welcome to bring their own materials to upcycle, or we’ll have a curated selection of deadstock textiles and embellishments to use.

“Into-You-I-See”—a play on the word intimacy—is a collaborative movement workshop that explores choreography-building through physical, emotive responses and deep listening. Rooted in the belief that listening is an active and generous act, this workshop invites participants to tune in—not just with their ears, but with their eyes, bodies, and emotions. Together, we practice and strengthen this often-overlooked skill, bringing the mind-body connection and subconscious awareness to the forefront.
Each session begins with a grounding warm-up to cultivate body awareness. Participants are then guided through partnered exercises centered on our relationship with the Earth and open-ended, critical questions. As partners converse and listen deeply, they begin to observe and become attuned to their own and each other’s emotional and physical responses—subtle gestures, shifts, and impulses that often go unnoticed. These authentic, subconscious movements become the foundation for collaborative choreography, shaped with creative tools and prompts.
“Into-You-I-See” is designed for all levels of movement experience, welcoming participants ages 8 to 80 and of all abilities, just come dressed comfortably! Whether you’re a trained dancer or a curious beginner, the space encourages vulnerability, creativity, and connection. It is, at its core, an ode to self-awareness—a mirror held up through the body, through another, and through the dance that emerges between.
