Join us for the End of Summer Bash—a free, family-friendly, inclusive community event designed especially for people living with disabilities and their loved ones. Hosted by 3rd Thursdays and Mental Health Services of NC, this all-day celebration combines fun in the sun, live entertainment, engaging activities, and a back-to-school supply giveaway to send everyone into the new school year feeling refreshed and supported.

Is this event only for individuals with disabilities?

No! This is an inclusive community event. While it is designed to support individuals with special needs, families, friends and caregivers are welcome too!

Do I need to register in advance?

Yes, registration is required on Eventbrite so we can prepare appropriately for all guests and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Is there a cost to attend?

No, the event is completely free to attend, including access to the water park, activities and giveaways!

Will there be accessible accommodations?

Yes! the venue is wheelchair accessible, and all activities are designed to be inclusive and sensory friendly.

Can I sign up to be a vendor?

Yes, Vendor registration is open until August 1, 2025 Call 336-338-4239

What if it rains?

This is a rain or shine event! Some activities are under shelters. Any changes will be announced via email and Eventbrite updates.

What happens if someone gets injured during the event?

All attendees participate at their own risk. While we aim to provide a safe and supportive environment, Mental Health Services of NC and event organizers are not liable for any injuries that may occur. First aid will be available on site and emergency services will be contacted if needed.

Our organization works hard to bridge the gap in society between those living with developmental disabilities and disorders and the mainstream population, by providing a host of programs throughout the community to improve the quality of life and reduce the bulling for those living with disabilities.
