About this event
Think & Link with Brieane Olson and Yumi Clevenger-Lee
What do these two stats have in common?
32% of Gen Z say they, themselves, are the biggest influence on how they think and feel. A rigorous study (on ~40,000 deals over 40 years) finds that around 70-75 % of acquisitions fail to live up to expectations.
No matter how you connect those dots, chances are it has to do with culture, which is the topic of our next Think & Link.
Culture weaves entire societies and populations together, but it is also at work within organizations, corporations and governments. We see the importance of culture in how young generations learn, believe and behave, yet it also weighs on corporate mergers and acquisitions across continents.
Our two brilliant guests will help us make sense of this ever-present, ever-shifting dynamic. We have Brieane Olson, CEO of PacSun to talk about a Voices in Youth Culture and Community report they’ve recently commissioned and published. And, we have Yumi Clevenger-Lee of Quest Global to discuss their successes using acquisitions to build a culture-first engineering consulting business that boasts 13,000 people across 17 countries.
Areas of learning from this event;
One: What is the state of our youth? What is important to them and what are the younger generations most hopeful about?
Two: How do you create a thriving culture for a global workforce?
Three: What sorts of things can an individual do to positively impact the culture of their organization?
Capsule started Think & Link as a french-style salon, to discuss the relevant topics of the day, connect with other like-minded individuals and share inspiring stories.
