They Whisper-Carnival of the Dead Dinner and a Show

The lights dim, a candle flickers. The performers begin to weave their tales … stories, poems, and songs of Ghosts, Melancholy, Murder and Mayhem. Stories whispered over the years that still linger in our darkest history and most lurid imagination.

Join us as we perform songs of the macabre and eerie folklore, dark poetry, and the haunting true stories that inspired them.

Tonight, we will share with you these chilling stories, poems, and songs.

The Haunted Galena Tour Company and the DeSoto House Hotel are proud to present this year’s annual Halloween Dinner and Show on Friday, October 24th, 2025. Doors to the Grand Ballroom of the DeSoto House Hotel open at 5:30 PM. The Grand Ballroom is located on the main floor of the hotel. There will be cash bar featuring beer, wine, and mixed drinks in the room also open at 5:30. The bar will be open until the show begins.

Dinner service will begin at 6 PM sharp; dinner will consist of 3 courses. First, a house salad with raspberry vinaigrette dressing and warm dinner roll. Second, choice of dinner entrée – a Pretzel Crusted Walleye with a mustard sauce and served with baby red mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, a New York Strip Steak cooked medium (other cook temperatures are not available) with a cabernet reduction sauce and served with baby red mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables, OR a Parmesan Reggiano Ravioli. Finally, a Chocolate Mousse Dirt Pudding. When purchasing your ticket, please select the add-on for the entree you prefer. The Haunted Galena Tour Company will perform “They Whisper … Carnival of the Dead” following dinner service with an approximate start time of 7:30 PM. The show has an approximate duration of 90 minutes with expected end time of 9 PM.

Parking is available on the streets surrounding the hotel as well as lots around the downtown area. Parking inside the hotel’s parking garage is limited to those guests who are staying overnight in the hotel.

Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. Spots will not be reserved for groups or individuals. If you’re part of a large group that would like to sit together, we advise you to arrive early. Tickets are non-refundable.
