Theory of Makaton/Cued articulation

This is a one-off course helping staff understand the principles underlying both the theory of Makaton Signing and Cued Articulation. The first part of the course will discuss the theory behind both approaches and how they can benefit all children, not just children with Speech and Language and communication needs. We will give an overview of typical speech sound development and when to consider referring for Speech and Language Therapy. We will discuss this different training pathways for Makaton and how you can access them.
