In this Event:
Most people aren’t overwhelmed by tasks, they’re overwhelmed by the emotional responsibilities no one sees. The mental load, the caretaking, the worrying, the holding-it-together for everyone else.
This experiential workshop invites participants to gently explore the invisible emotional labor they carry and how it shows up in their bodies, thoughts, and daily lives. Through grounding practices, creative mapping, small-group connection, and a guided release exercise, participants will have the opportunity to notice what they’ve been carrying, and practice setting down what isn’t theirs to hold alone.
Rather than fixing or forcing change, this workshop focuses on awareness, compassion, and embodied relief. Participants will leave with greater clarity, a sense of lightness, and a simple ritual they can return to whenever the weight feels heavy again.
About the instructor:
Kristin Whiting-Davis, LCSW-C is a licensed clinical social worker with more than twenty-five years of experience in child welfare, schools, community programs, and healthcare. Over the years, she has supported people through crisis, loss, and major life changes, and I’ve seen how much unseen emotional work caregivers do every day. Her current focus is helping caregivers of all kinds (healthcare workers, therapists, parents, partners, and adult children, etc.) who carry a heavy internal load. She uses mindfulness, somatic awareness, and trauma-informed approaches to help people find steadiness, ease overwhelm, and build resilience that lasts.
