Overview
Angola's independence is a defining moment for the entire Angolan people. The steps taken to achieve freedom and national independence were difficult and emotional, costing the lives of millions of people.
Men were enslaved and taken overseas to distant regions, far from their families. Many Men were killed, women and children were abandoned - they paid the ultimate price to defend their land in the name of INDEPENDENCE.
