What are we fundraising for?
The Denton County Homeless Coalition has supported a flexible fund that 13 local agencies have access to assist their clients in gaining or maintaining housing for the last 6 years. In those 7 years, over 720 households have been served! Your participation in The Walk Home increases the chances for future impact. You can also gather a team and multiply that impact!
- 1 walk registration + a T-shirt can assist in replacing critical documents for employment and housing, such as an ID, a replacement birth certificate, etc. - (Averaging $35-50)
- 10 walk registrations could provide a bus ticket, reuniting someone with a loved one or support system to a path to stability. - (Averaging $175 - $250)
- 20 walk registrations + T-shirt purchases would cover a first month's deposit needed for a household to move into safe and stable housing. - (Averaging $700 - $1,000)
